Long COVID participation process: Final report now published
To better understand the needs and lived realities of children and adolescents with Long COVID and to give those affected the opportunity to say what they expect of society, the Federal Ministry of Health launched the "Long COVID among children and adolescents" participation process. The aim of the format, which ran from October 2024 to March 2025, was to gain more clarity around the care and support needs in practice and to identify potential measures for improvement. The final report that has now been published describes the process and the findings.
Federal Minister of Health Nina Warken: "I was impressed by the input from everyone involved in the form of detailed courses of action. At the same time, the feedback opened my eyes to the various areas in which action is still required in order to respond even better to the needs of children and adolescents with Long COVID in our society. We will make sure to deliver here!" The Minister expressed her thanks to everyone with a personal letter and a copy of the final report.
