Long COVID participation process: Affected persons hand over courses of action to improve healthcare provision

On 7 March 2025, the courses of action to improve healthcare provision developed as part of the Long COVID among children and adolescents participation process were handed over to Minister of Health Prof. Karl Lauterbach in Berlin by ten patient ambassadors. In addition to the ambassadors, who include patients, relatives, doctors and educators, other people who took part in the participation process followed the discussion online.

The courses of action constitute the result of the participation process initiated by the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) on the topic of Long COVID among children and adolescents, which ran from October 2024 to March 2025. The aim of the format was to gain more clarity around the care and support needs in practice and to identify potential measures for improvement.
