52 million euros for care of children and adolescents with Long COVID

The German Bundestag has released 52 million euros for care of children and adolescents who have Long COVID. The resources should establish and expand the treatment programmes in the federal territory as well as promote research projects for children and adolescents with Long COVID in the period from 2024 to 2028. The Federal Ministry of Health had earlier presented a concept for a funding announcement, prepared together with subject matter experts as well as stakeholders, to the budget committee.  This funding announcement, specifically for children and adolescents with Long COVID is currently being developed and shall soon be published.
