Alliance for Post-Infectious Diseases: Long COVID and ME/CFS
With the “Alliance for Post-Infectious Diseases: Long COVID and ME/CFS” that was launched in November 2025 by the Federal Ministers Nina Warken and Dorothee Bär, the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) and the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) seek to more closely dovetail basic and clinical research on the one hand and healthcare research on the other. The Alliance lays the foundation for close cooperation between the two ministries on those clinical conditions, also in the context of the recently announced “National Decade against Post-Infectious Diseases”.
